PROJECT COORDINATOR

We are currently seeking a Project Coordinator to support our growing project portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced industrial environment, values accuracy and organization, and wants to contribute to the successful execution of field and facility projects.

We value strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn. If you have solid field experience, we are willing to train the right candidate on computer systems and project controls.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Assist project planning, scheduling & logistics.
  • Support estimating, quantity takeoffs, and cost tracking
  • Perform on site job scoping.
  • Quantity survey, quantity review and system input.
  • Set up and maintenance of control logs (i.e. RFIs, Cost Summaries, Daily Activity Reports, etc.)
  • Subcontract coordination.
  • Internal and external resource planning.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Organized and self-motivated.
  • Journeyman certification in a related trade (Welding, Steamfitting) or equivalent technical background (Construction, Civil or Mechanical Engineering Tech.) is an asset.
  • Have effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications specifically Word, Excel and MS Projects.
  • Computer proficiency is an asset – training is available for the right candidate.
  • Previous experience in similar role with exposure to oilfield construction would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical and structural steel drawings.
  • Knowledge of material specifications.
  • Related industry safety training tickets in good standing

Journeyman Pipefitter

Bonnyville Welding is seeking a skilled Journeyman Pipefitter to join our team. This role is suited for individuals who take pride in quality workmanship and can work confidently in a field environment. Start date of September 9, 2026. Project is on a 14/7 shift, working 11 hour days. Camp accommodations and shift travel are provided.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 3+ years of related pipefitting experience
  • Strong knowledge of various piping materials and systems
  • Proficient in piping layout and system installation
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience with hydrotest setup and completion
  • Capable of both shop fabrication and field installation

Role Requirements:

  • Journeyman Pipefitter/Steamfitter certification (Red Seal preferred)
  • Valid H2S Alive, CSO, WHMIS, and CSTS certification
  • First Aid, Confined Space and Fall Arrest (AWP) considered assets
  • Adaptable and receptive to changing work environments
  • Must have a clean class 5 driver’s license
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test

Quality Control (QC) Inspector

Bonnyville Welding is currently seeking a Quality Control (QC) Inspector to join our team. This position is intended for local candidates only, with no living out allowance provided. Work will be mainly local, but the successful candidate must be willing to travel occasionally for out-of-town and camp-based work as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections on materials, fabrication, and field work to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards
  • Review and verify documentation including ITPs, test reports, and turnover packages
  • Ensure all work meets company QA/QC standards and client requirements
  • Coordinate with supervisors, welders, and project teams to address deficiencies
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, deficiencies, and corrective actions
  • Participate in audits and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum Level 1 QC certification required
  • Previous experience in a QC/QA inspection role (oilfield, construction, or fabrication preferred)
  • Strong understanding of applicable codes and standards (CSA, ASME, API, etc.)
  • CWB certification or additional inspection tickets considered an asset
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Required Safety Tickets & Conditions

  • Valid H2S Alive, CSO, First Aid, LSE, and WHMIS
  • Clean driving abstract
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test
  • Willingness to travel and work out of town or in camp on occasion

LEAD HAND

Bonnyville Welding is currently seeking an experienced Lead Hand for ongoing work local to the Bonnyville area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a small crew while assisting with day-to-day field operations.

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members

  • Adaptable and receptive to changing work environments

Requirements:

  • Previous oil & gas experience in piping installation and hydro testing
  • Casing bowl installation experience preferred
  • Proven leadership or Lead Hand experience
  • Ability to read measurements and work with piping layouts
  • Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • H2S Alive, CSO, WHMIS-2015 required
  • Additional tickets such as Fall Protection, EWP and First Aid are considered an asset, but are not require
